Wanting.
How our worldview shapes our actions.
Cycles.

Leadership insight: Knowing what is NOT changing can help your creative output
People’s wants change over time: fame, fortune, promotions, rest, rejuvenation, leisure. It’s the WANTING that does not change! When we are working on leading change, we need to remember that we are delivering to people’s desire for new experiences, new feelings. The rest is detail.
Why you should listen: our worldview shapes our leadership actions
Our worldview changes over time. What does not change is that our worldview shapes our choices and actions. As a leader, we need to know the map and read the territory. This can help as we design experiences and shape messages for the people we are serving: do they match what the others are wanting? More on vertical development here.
It’s the cycle itself that is unchanging. Season change. The CYCLE of the seasons does not. Even the Universe is expanding and will contract again.
A leadership mindset to adopt
When we expect endings, it frees us to make more beginnings. When we expect endings, it helps us to savour NOW. Leadership and life is bittersweet, don’t fight it, embrace it.
