About CEO Barnie Van Wyck
Barnie is the Chief Executive Officer of St Vincent de Paul Canberra/ Goulburn, and is on the board of directors of charities and housing companies providing transitional and affordable accommodation. Barnie formerly held executive positions in public, private and not for profit entities.
A native from South Africa he started his career as a Barrister and after managing financial services companies decided to call Australia, and Canberra in particular home in 2003. Married to a Wonder Woman called Annette and two awesome children, Reon (23) and Ane (20).
His family has been actively involved in supporting marginalised members of the community since childhood and he has been involved in counselling, managing and arranging charity events, food and accommodation drives, youth camps and coaching among other activities most of his life.
